How to Remove Late Payments From Your Credit Report and Raise Your Score

With the current economy situation and the rising cost of everything, its no wander more and more people are trying to stay afloat and avoid late payments and maintaining a good credit rating.

Most late payments on credit reports are there for legitimate reasons, its either you did not have the money when the payment was due or you totally forgot to make them payment and how you ended up with the late payment in the first place.

The good news is that there is a way to have your late payment deleted from your credit history, this is known as a re-aging your account and very few people know it. It is an action that your creditor can take to chance the information on the credit bureau level.

Now keep in mind that this is not an automatic action, it is something you have to talk to your creditor about and see if they are open to doing this for you. Most creditors will have some sort of requirement, such as you having not missed a certain number of payments in the past or having the next couple of payments made on time.

Whatever the requirement, it is well worth the credit score that you will be able to keep by not having the late payment show up on your credit report.
